I’m René — founder, investor, and executive with a strong track record in building, scaling, and leading technology-driven businesses.
I studied Industrial Engineering in Germany, Spain, and China and spent several years in consulting and high-growth tech startups. Throughout my career, I have worked at the intersection of strategy, operations, and leadership, with a particular focus on organizational restructuring, strategic partner management, investor relations, and international expansion. I have built and led organizations with teams of more than 100 people, consistently prioritizing performance, culture, and long-term talent development.
My work is grounded in a highly analytical, numbers-driven approach. I leverage strong technical expertise to identify the key drivers that enable companies to improve rapidly and sustainably. One of my core strengths lies in developing people and scalable leadership structures — I am deeply motivated by helping individuals and teams exceed their own expectations and unlock their full potential.
Over the past four years, I was the founder and CEO of NeoCarbon, a climate-technology company focused on removing CO₂ from the atmosphere. During this time, I raised €10 million in funding, scaled the organization to 20 employees, and grew revenue from zero to over €1 million. I also successfully attracted senior leadership talent, including recruiting the CTO of our largest competitor (valued at €1 billion+) to join our team.
Outside of work, I spend much of my time training for skyrunning and enjoying life with my family. Professionally, I am actively evaluating selected investment opportunities, particularly in real estate and established, cash-flow-positive businesses. In parallel, I remain open to carefully chosen management and leadership roles where I can create measurable impact, mentor high-potential teams, and help ambitious organizations scale faster and more effectively.
